Filozofijas taka

In front of the Galēni manor house in Galēni parish, Riebiņi district, there is a park with a regular layout created in the style of French gardens, where a Philosophy Trail has been created. It is dedicated to the philosopher, religious researcher and poet Robert Monk.

The trail contains works of the poet and philosopher rooted in such wooden sculptures-symbolic images as: "Snake Uroboros", "Crocodile and I", "Man-pebble", "Stork", "Angel", etc., which allows to better understand the thinker's non-traditional view of things and make our daily lives more interesting, diverse and understandable.

Before going for a walk, be sure to visit the Robert Monk Museum, where you can get a free guide "Step by Step on the Robert Monk Philosophy Trail". It includes not only a description of each sculpture, which will help to understand the meaning of each symbol, but also creative tasks that encourage reasoning, thinking, evaluation and expression.

For those who are wondering - if you come to the path of Philosophy, then how to do it better: with children or without? Will they be interesting? - We say: there will be! We invite families with children to go on an exciting tour of the trail, because the time spent together and the content of the tasks will promote spirituality, mutual respect and understanding.
