The Amata river valley is a beautiful place no matter which season. The trail can be taken in different sections, the longes being from Melturi railway bridge to Veclauči bridge. The trail is line type, meaning you have to backtrack or, like we did, leave bicycles at end of the trail, which you then ride back to the place you left your car. We started at Karli bridge, went 12 kilometers to Veclauci bridge, and took the bicycles back on the gravel road for 6 km to our car. 

The trail ends at Veclauči bridge (north side) which has a wide area with firepits, firewood and plenty of space for tents.
