Mežtaka izvijas cauri Valmieras vēsturiskajam centram un Atpūtas parkam, kurā ir vairāki pilsētas apkaimes kājāmiešanas un nūjošanas maršruti, šķērso Vanšu tiltu, ved gar Pauku priedēm un Baiļu kalnu. Pa Abula taku, kas izlokās pa stāvajiem un „mežonīgajiem” upes krastiem, tā aizlīkumo līdz Brenguļu alus darītavai un tālāk, aiz Pūpoliem, jau ved pa mazapdzīvotiem, plašiem mežu masīviem.

The forest trail winds through the historic center of Valmiera and the Recreation Park, which has several walking and Nordic walking routes in the city’s neighborhoods, crosses the Vanšu Bridge, and leads along the Pauku pines and Baiļu Hill. The Abula trail winds along the steep and “wild” banks of the river, leading to the Brenguļu brewery and further on, beyond Pūpoli, through sparsely populated, vast forest areas.
