Mežtaka ved cauri plašajiem Setu zemes jeb Setomā (Setomaa) mežiem, gar purvu malām un cauri virsājiem, kas septembrī iegūst pasakaini violetus krāsu toņus. Šis ir mazapdzīvots apvidus, kur gājējs sajutīs ciešu saikni ar savvaļas dabu. Pie Ersavas (Õrsava) ezera Mežtaka šķērso gājēju tiltiņus, apmetot loku ezeram, līdz nonāk Verskas centrā. Arī šajā posmā ir iespēja izbaudīt Setu zemes tradīcijas, ēdienu un dzērienus.

The forest trail passes through the vast forests of Setomaa, along the edges of the moors and through the heaths, which turn a fabulous shade of purple in September. This is a sparsely populated area where the walker will feel a close connection with the wildlife. At Lake Ersava, the Meztaka crosses pedestrian bridges, circling the lake until it reaches the centre of Versk. Here, too, you can enjoy the traditions, food and drink of the Seto land.
