The trail leads to a bird-watching tower through meadows and the adjoining dune, which is covered with pine mint and swamp. Wooden footbridges alternate with a simply paved path. Randu meadows are the only coastal meadows in Latvia, which are also considered to be a living herbarium, where one third of Latvia's flowering plants can be found in an area of 200 ha. Almost all coastal habitats of Latvia can be found here, including the largest complex of coastal meadows and lagoons. The trail has been recently renovated, at the tower at the far end of the trail there are several picnic tables and a house to take refuge from the rain. There is also a toilet. Theoretically, you can stay here in a tent, because some place is available. There are no campfire places. No overnight stay restriction sign was observed.
Officially, the length of the trail is 3 km, counting both directions together, but at the end of the trail there is also a branch to the sea, so the whole walk is about 4 km long.
