Kalētu dendroloģiskās takas

Kalēti Forest Park "Priediens" has once been a manor hunting area where wild animals had been kept. It is the place where the red deer, imported from Germany in 1848, has spread from over the territory of Latvia. Nowadays Kalēti Forest Park has developed to be a perfect place to explore nature – for school children during excursions, to walk with family etc. There are 3 thematic nature trails – a mushroom trail, a plant trail and an animal trail, a number of interesting nature objects, as well as a small adventure park for children. Here you can stretch the legs on an obstacle track, walk around the thematic trails, study the various wooden figures along the trails and exlpore the diversity of plants and animals that can be met in the park. Some stretches are accessible to people with disabilities (with an assistant), incl. the blind, as the wooden figures are good for exploring the plants and animals with fingers. All 3 trails are marked with different colours on wooden sticks.
